Our first drafts of our storyboard for the title sequence.
1st page
This page shows the beginning 5 shots. These include the production company logo. 'Big scream productions' in a candlelit room. The next shows shows the text 'Big scream productions presents...'. We chose this as many films use this format. Followed by 'Directed by Darren Gilbert'. It then goes on to show a shot of the book and of a candle being lit with the main actresses name 'Laura Browning'.

2nd Page
The sixth shot shows a book being opened including the text of the main actors name 'Ollie Roberts'. This then cuts into shots of newspapers, the book and the book being written. These shots show the beginning of the making of the curse and the coverage of the tragic and suspicious deaths of the victims at the hand of the book.

3rd Page
The 3rd page of shots include the names of the roles that we each took on, Camera, props and music.
It also shows a long shot of the ghost/author sitting at the chair writing the book in candlelight. This is to suggest that age of the book as their is no light through electricity. It ends with the title 'Chapter 4...'this encorportaes the idea of a book as they have chapters and also to imply the importance of chapter 4.
Our first draft of our storyboard for the opening scene.
1st Page
The first shot of the opening sequence shows a close up shot of the news report playing on the tv. This then zooms out and pans across the room to reveal Jacob sitting on the chair. This then cuts to a Long shot of Laura making a cup of tea. This then cuts back to Ollie before Laura storms in and has a go at him.
2nd page
The 6th shot shows Jacob going to the car before coming back and finding the book on the mat. This then goes to a long shot of him looking through the book and asking Claire where it has come from. This is then followed by a close-up of the book in the box. A mid-shot of Claire looking into the mirror and seeing a mysterious figure and screaming.

The storyboard changed a bit to make it more effective. We took out shot 6 and just skipped straight to number 7. We done this as it was rather windy outside meaning sound would be an issue. We also felt that it would be more freaky if it arrived whilst they were still in the house, making it more mysterious and chilling. Which is more stereotyoical for a horror.
